01

West Hollywood

A Britney sighting revealed the market.

Sheeraz Hasan was meeting a business partner in a West Hollywood coffee shop when Britney Spears walked in. A pack of photographers followed, shot the moment and disappeared.

That evening, Sheeraz's mother called from London. She had seen him standing near Britney on BBC and Sky News. A few seconds filmed in Los Angeles had crossed the Atlantic before the day was over.

He did not see a celebrity chase. He saw a distribution business waiting to be organised.

02

Hollywood camera crews

Sheeraz put camera crews on payroll.

The photographers worked as freelancers. They waited outside restaurants and shops, then earned money only when a picture or clip sold.

Sheeraz offered regular pay in exchange for exclusivity. Hollywood.TV would own the footage and supply it to the publishers and broadcasters already hungry for celebrity news.

The change was simple but decisive. A loose group of camera operators became a managed network with one name on the work.

Free footage, branded frames

You gonna compete with free?

Sheeraz Hasan

Founder, Hollywood.TV

Most footage agencies protected each clip behind a licensing fee. Sheeraz saw another route: let broadcasters use Hollywood.TV footage while the company mark remained on screen.

The clip was content for the broadcaster and advertising for Hollywood.TV. Every rerun introduced the source to another producer, publicist or viewer.

One clip, many screens

The Hollywood.TV mark moves with its footage into television, print and digital coverage around the world.

The same Hollywood.TV-branded footage appears across television, print and digital coverage, making the distribution strategy visible on screen.

The model worked because distribution mattered more than a single transaction.

04

Global distribution

Free footage carried Hollywood.TV worldwide.

A camera captured the moment. The newsroom prepared it. Broadcasters placed it inside their programming, and the Hollywood.TV mark travelled with every use.

That route explains why the company mattered. Hollywood.TV did not need to own the television station. It supplied something the station needed every day.

05

Los Angeles, June 2009

Hollywood.TV recorded a global breaking story.

When Michael Jackson died in June 2009, Hollywood.TV had original footage at the breaking-news scene. Its watermark sat inside coverage of a story every major outlet was trying to report.

06

Paris and Kim

Paris and Kim used the cameras strategically.

The network became useful to the people standing in front of it. Paris Hilton understood that repeated coverage could keep a public image moving. Kim Kardashian learned the system before social media gave her a direct audience.

From Hollywood to Dubai

I was big brother. You could not get around me.

Sheeraz Hasan

Founder, Hollywood.TV

Social platforms eventually gave public figures their own feeds. The old route through television and paparazzi footage was no longer the only way to reach an audience.

But the lesson survived the format: know what people want to watch, control the route to them and make the source recognisable. Sheeraz carried that logic into celebrity launches, the Gulf and later FAME.
