FAME Research
The FAME Visibility Index.
A practical framework for measuring whether a public profile creates recognition, authority and commercial demand.
Framework · Version 1.0 · 3 August 2026
What it measures
Visibility is useful only when people understand the position, trust the evidence, encounter it in the right places and can act on it. The index tests all four—and whether search and AI systems can read the same public record accurately.
Five dimensions
Score the public record, not the personality.
Clarity
Can the market state who you are, what you do and why it matters?
Evidence: Canonical biography, category position, current offer and consistent public descriptions.
Proof
Can important claims be verified without relying on your own marketing?
Evidence: Primary records, independent coverage, visible outcomes, testimony and attributable archive material.
Distribution
Does the position appear where the audiences with power will encounter it?
Evidence: Relevant media, professional networks, events, search results and market-specific channels.
Machine legibility
Can search and AI systems connect the entity, claims and evidence accurately?
Evidence: Crawlable pages, entity consistency, descriptive internal links, structured data and cited sources.
Commercial connection
Does visibility lead toward a decision the business actually values?
Evidence: Qualified inquiries, partnerships, market access, branded search, direct traffic and conversion paths.
Scoring
A score should expose the next decision.
Each dimension receives 0–4 points. Multiply the 20-point total by five for a score out of 100. This is a diagnostic framework, not a public popularity ranking.
Use the framework
Find the weakest signal before buying more attention.
A low distribution score does not always require more content. A low proof score cannot be fixed with reach. A low clarity score means every downstream channel is amplifying uncertainty. The first investment should address the constraint that weakens the entire system.
